Having put years of work into creating and building our blog, we’d done a great job of securing collaborative contracts, but saw very little in the way of actual income coming in. That was, until we signed up with Ezoic; a quick-learning, easy-to-use, revenue-driving ad platform.
Now that we’re reaping the benefits of monetization that works well (we tried AdWords and were pleased to do away with it), we’re really pleased to bring you this post…
Our Unbiased Ezoic Review
How Does Ezoic Work?
What is Multivariate Testing? Why Do I Need it?
Multivariate testing helps ensure the the advertising on your website runs at an optimum. Going beyond simple A/B testing (which compares one variable to another at a time), the multivariate testing that Ezoic offers compares a number of different factors at once.
It compares different colours, placements, sizes and fonts to ensure your audience enjoys the ads being offered up.
Even better, Ezoic takes what it’s learnt and applies the most beneficial combinations to your website to help ensure both happy visitors and maximum advertising returns.
By carefully considering and testing what goes down well with your audience, Ezoic is able to determine how many ads should be shown, where they should be placed and in what format. Though it might sound counter-intuitive, this might actually mean serving fewer ads on each post/page in a bid to increase the number of pages that each visitor looks over.
The good news is that Ezoic takes care of everything for you so you can just sit back and enjoy watching the money roll in.
When you’re ready to collect your payment, Ezoic make it easy by offering payment through Paypal, US bank transfer, international bank transfer, cheque or prepaid card. Too easy!
Ezoic vs Mediavine
If you’ve been blogging a while you’ve probably heard of Mediavine – it’s practically the holy-grail of online advertising and though it comes with a great reputation, it can be a challenge to get into (even if you have the traffic) and doesn’t necessarily offer any more than Ezoic (which, by the way, will give you free hosting if required – wow!)
So, when all is said and done, what are the key differences in acceptance between these two top-notch advertising platforms?
- 10,000 visits/sessions per month
- Actionable on informational, content rich blogs. This generally rules out corporate sites and e-commerce ones.
- 25,000 monthly sessions/visits (approximately 30,000 page views)
- Traffic largely from ‘advertising friendly’ countries
- Original and engaging content
- Clean, verified, organic traffic
- Acceptance by Google AdSense and Google AdExchange
So, not only does Ezoic require significantly less traffic but they aren’t quite as worried about the location of said traffic (when compared to Mediavine). I’ve heard many stories of bloggers striving for enough visits to be considered for Mediavine only to be turned away at the last minute because of the location of a certain percentage of their readers.
By comparison, Ezoic’s entry level is a heck of a lot more achievable for your everyday blogger (and they have amazing, upfront support to boot!)
I’m Keen to Install Ezoic on my Blog. Help…
When you do decide to sign up, the process is incredibly easy.
First, you’ll need to create an account with them and then you’ll be invited to connect up the relevant links. Even if you’re not quite at your traffic quota yet, you’re able to sign up and begin the process.
You’ll be asked to provide limited access to your Google Analytics, just to allow Ezoic to verify your traffic for approval and before you know it, you’ll be up and running.
There’s no better feeling than knowing that all of the time and hard work that you’ve put into your blog is payment dividends, so, what are you waiting for?
This post is in no way affiliated or sponsored by Ezoic – we’re just genuine fans! By signing up through our link, we will earn a small proportion of commission at absolutely no cost to you. There is no cost in signing up to this platform, nor is there a monthly fee.
